Re: Season Outlook Part II: Predictions

Counting on the offense to be better than average as opposed to worst in the WAC and one of the top defenses at least as good as last season and we could be looking at 9-4 or better.

Re: Which Conference?

OK, CUSA.

Here are my questions though. How stable is it? There is a lot of talk about teams moving out. Will you be getting what you expect. The reputation is only recently gained. I.e. in the last year or two, at least wrt football. Who is to say that the WAC can not step it up and achieve ...

Re: Which Conference?

Dukie, I do not know what you are thinking. SMU tried to join the CUSA. The SEC and the BIG XII will not show any interest any time soon. MWC, which I think would be a bad move, has no interest. Just where are you proposing that we immediately move to?? http://www.ponyfans.com/ubb ...

Re: Which Conference?

The WAC weaker? You mean with the rumored addition of USU and NMSU?

Actually, here are the facts from the Sagarin ratings of last year:

USU...............62.46...82.36
NMSU..............65.16...78.88

SMU...............60.61...80.34

WAC...............64 ...

Re: Which Conference?

I do not see CUSA a great option. They will want an arm and a leg and they have their own demons. They had an up year in football but that can be fleeting.

The best thing for us to do is make the best of our current situation, fill the stadium, and wait for the next major quake in major ...

Re: Who thinks the WAC should expand to 12 and who doesn't - why?

To me this has all been handled too quietly by the administrations of the schools. I am sure that expansion is a sensitive topic but some hint about the leanings would be nice.

I would like to see stronger schools available but the candidates are not that bad. Even Boise State will raise the ...

Re: Kelan Luker in the DMN....IS THIS CORRECT

I can understand why Luker could hit a high % vs. the second team. We are deep at receiver and thin at DB. But why are Josh's % completion numbers so low. The DBs can't be that good, can they? Was he missing, drops, DB break-ups? Who saw the action? http://www.ponyfans.com/ubb/confused ...
