As usually happens, a simple statement in a thread becomes distorted by hotheads. I started this thread with the opinion that Jones shows more CLASS than Patterson. Nothing in it about abilities as a coach. Both are good coaches. Jones is just a classier guy. PERIOD!

It can't be denied that Patterson is a good coach. But I believe Jones is the right coach for SMU at this time because he's had experience at taking a bad football program and turning it around, and that's what needed to be done here.
