Re: It's the way we lose....

Another embarassment for SMU football. Sure we were up against a top 10 team, but penalties, lack of proper execution and overall sloppy play is no way to go through life, son. If you as a player couldn't get up for a game against the most exciting player in sports, in one of the most exciting and ...

Re: Orsini Terminated

RGT did Orsini a favor by terminating him. While I don't know SO personally, I could not put up with the yes men mentality and overall mediocre leadership at SMU. SO at least was out there trying to improve the dreadful conditions in the athletic office the last twenty years. Lousy hires in the ...

Lot of greats on the d-line, this is before my time, but would Louie Kelcher be in the hunt?

Re: Twenty-five (25) years ago on Saturday..,

yep the ncaa/texas shafted us, but we also shafted ourselves
in continuing the Pye over-reaction for so many years. Pye
was actually as bad or worse than the death penalty. whats
done is done and hopefully we will continue to improve in the
Big East.

Re: DC SO BE

SMU's problem is two fold...one a winner needs to be put on the field. Two, intense rivalries with named schools will excite the fan base, both locally and with those opposing teams whose fan base will travel. These two combined will put butts in the seats. Unfortuantely, SMU lacks both.

I'm a ...

Re: A new place

Charleston in the Kiawah Island area or north of Jacksonville in the Sea Island/jekyl island areas are your best bets. I would only recommend if the kids are gone and looking for an upscale area with plenty of golf, fishing, climate and close proximity to everything on the east coast.

Re: Pony Excess

They traveled well, up until the DP, they probably averaged 10-15k per game. But back then in the old SWC, games were always fairly close to campus.

Re: UNT New Stadium is ready to open.

Nice Stadium, hopefully they can get their S together after the Todd Dodge era. Never liked them since the Ponies used to play them in the late 70's, but I've come around.

Best football game I've ever seen was in the old one when Hp beat Stephenville in the state semi. Great memories.

Re: Hotel Room for A&M

Try Comfort Suites on University or the Hampton Inn on 6 at University. Have stayed in both, like CS better. Only problem is that most hotels down there have a 2 night minimum and most jack up the rates for game day. Good luck.

Baylor's gay, let's remember the fake field goal featured in 30 in 30.
