Right you are. I adopted SMU when Coach Bennett was hired, and I'm coming up this weekend - third game of the year for me.

Maybe all of the faculty should have their tenure stripped from them so they can stop eating donuts and actually teach for a living. So are you embarrassed of the degree you earned from SMU .... which includes the faculty you seem to enjoy trashing here?

From what I gather, McCoy is the real deal, a small but fast CB who apparently hits much bigger than his frame. Tons of offers, but SMU is still in the running.

why is everyone wishing this kid well??!!?? Because he's a human being who chose to play for SMU and wanted to help make the Mustangs better. The fact that he got stuck by another guy who played well and looks like he's not going to give up the job any time soon means the writing was on the wall ...

If Slater and/or Johnson really are transferring, might Coach Scelfo's post-Katrina friendship with Coach Bennett convince his son to try SMU? Great school, thin depth chart at the position, etc.... just a thought.
