1) As long as the PAC play 9 conference games every year, the other conferences with 8 conference games can't really say the PAC champ is "untested".

There is really only room for one midmajor conference in the Western US. Currently the WAC, MWC, and CUSA are splitting TV markets, quality teams, and recruiting hotbeds (Texas and California). There really should be a consolidation into two 12 team conferences with what is left now. Hopefully that ...

Neither the MWC nor CUSA are in good shape in this era of conference reallignment. Neither has a hope of BCS AQ status. The MWC has a terrible TV deal, and CUSA is likely to lose teams to any further Big East expansion (SMU would get left behind in any scenario). Maybe it's time to build a new ...
