Re: Game Day places to go???

I think they have really good food (chicken sandwich is great there), as does the elephant. As a student, I was recommending fun places close to campus where other SMU people will most likely be. I think those two are at the top of the list. No atmosphere at the others, in my opinion ...

Re: Game Day places to go???

How do you people not mention Milo's??? If you want a fun place to catch GameDay and some of the earlier games, I would recommend Milo's and the Green Elephant (both have good food) and are frequented by young alum types. They also both have good patios and are right across the central from frat row ...

Re: Trouble in Austin

Bo, no favors need to be called in on this if the attorney's claims are true. Plus, Benson took a drug test and passed it this past week (after the charges). It seems we will have to wait 10 days and find everything out then, but it will not be much and he will still be starting for the Horns next ...

Re: Trouble in Austin

One more interesting point is that he is not on scholarship at Texas, which could make the situation even more cloudy. The LA Dodgers are paying for his education through his minor league contract. Wonder if there are any clauses about this in there?

Re: Trouble in Austin

F*ck. This makes my already bad day, worse. Hate to see either of my teams (UT & SMU, hence the name) get in trouble. I think the only reason this is getting national press is because it's a player of Benson's caliber. He was a freshman all-american after all. Hopefully the team and school handle ...

Re: Hey MustangOrange!

Rambo's HR is confirmed. I think someone told me at Buffett last night...by the way, that was a BADASS tailgate and concert! Rambo, I saw Thompson there; he was in town from grad school. Why is a Pike talking trash? Especially an RA? And you wonder why they have no friends.

Sports related, the ...

Re: Where's the \"Devotion of Rogers Healy\"

Yes, the same EB from the great state of Mississippi...he was hammered...lost his dinner after we left the Gypsy Tea Room (Charlie Mars concert). He was wearing his crown from Medeival Times at the Elephant the rest of the night. He's a hilarious drunk.

Re: Where's the \"Devotion of Rogers Healy\"

Well, well, well...it seems I have been brought into this topic of conversation by the parties of Ed P. and Rambo. (1) I am much more cool than Rambo. (2) It is true that my tenure as an intramural god is over as there are only two weeks left of college and they are reserved for drinking. (3) Rogers ...

Re: Keep 'em home

Also, Deginald Erskin of Texas is a transfer from North Texas...look how he has come on at the end of the season for the Horns. He is only 6'6" but creates matchup problems because of his ability to drive and also play in the post. He's shooting 63% from the field and has had 17 and 16(?) points in ...

Re: student turn out last night

I apologize for my absence...myself (and a bunch of the other KA's that usually sit behind the announcer) went to see O.A.R. play (one of my favorite bands--in town last night at Deep Ellum Live). Hope we can win these next three and go into the WAC tourney on a nice little streak...

Re: Hancock

If Damon gets drafted, it's because of potential only...he would be a "work-in progress" like Sasser is. The things that would turn a team away are his turnovers (4.3/game) and 3-point shooting (29%); however, he can create off the dribble and drive the lane really well. I predict that he will make ...

Actually, next weekend is Mardi Gras. Beads, an eternal state of drunkeness, friends, crawfish, Gallatoir's, Felix's, Bourbon Street, gambling! Galvigras is pretty cool too. Oh, what a wonderful world.

The intramual director, Chris Hutton, e-mailed this to me and I thought I would post to all interested parties. This should be right up your alley BoazHoes since you and all your Pike friends are obsessed with your high school sports!
