Bennetts selection
I have been out of the loop a little but I wanted to make a comment about a thread below. Someone made the comment that the individuals on the selection committee responsible for hiring Coach Bennett were "strawmen" for Jim Copeland and quoted an un named source who was on the committee. Well, I was ...

Re: What can I do?
Bless your soul, Ponyte. You have nailed it. The time to start helping with the turnaround is now. The best place is to work with the Mustang Club. The Morgan Campaign will begin in early 2004. It will come as no surprise that it will be a tough sell. But for those who REALLY, REALLY love SMU and ...

Re: Opinons on attending SMU
Let me add my two cents. I was what you might call a lower middle class kid who attending SMU on a Mustang Band scholarship. I loved everyhing about SMU which is why I have stayed so involved. More to the point, however, my older son attended UT and loved it. I hated it because getting classes ...
Re: weather

Re: weather
You know Mr. Stallion...I normally just read this board for fun. I learn stuff..even from you sometimes. You seem to know your stuff on recruiting. But you are such a jerk when it comes to the pure fan who wants to say something, ANYTHING, nice about our athletics programs. Your supposed knowledge ...

Re: Mustang Baseball
No, the university does not furnish a field for no other reason than there IS no field. Like all clubs, the team has a budget that can be used for field rental. However, since I am such a big baseball fan, I made a donation to Lutheran High School(just off of Cental and Forest) so that the SMU club ...

Re: Mustang Baseball
Perhaps you're right. Title IX may not have been the primary reason. But all schools are looking at athletic budgets and a NCAA sport counts against the athletic budget while a club sport does not. Our situation dictates that we cannot support another mens program while we are trying to add some ...

Re: Mustang Baseball
Actually, we do have a baseball team although it is at the club level. Mclubprez jr. is the president and player manager of the team. Shawn Heilbron, the SMU athletic marketing manager is the staff advisor/manager of the team. They play in the Gulf Coast North Conference of the National Club ...

Don't Forget
As a reminder, don't forget the signing day party at Ford Wednesday at 5:30. We hope to see a room full of Mustang fans as Coach Bennett reviews our outstanding class.
Also, all Mustang Club members are invited to the "pre party" at 5:00 in Heritage Hall to be the first to see the new Mustang ...

The Spirit Shop will be open with a table set up in the Club Level to sell Mustang gear and we will have tables set ...
