Re: Could be fun - Tradition
I think if adults are willing to wave tomahawks and try to do an indian war chant at games ala Florida State and Atlanta, then the horse on a stick could work.

Re: Could be fun - Tradition
I like that idea alot BUS, in fact, a smart fellow would design a small stick horse to manufacture and sell at the games.

Re: Training Table
I am in complete agreement with the need for a training table. A highly disiplined person could probably follow a dietary meal plan even in the school cafeteria, but why not remove all barriers and help these guys out.

Re: Which Conference?
Obviously everyone wishes the WAC were stronger and had a legitimate TV contract, but I am very happy in the WAC until and if conference realignment comes about. Being in the MWC makes ZERO sense, and while I think being in the same conference with some of the western teams of C-USA would be great ...

Tank McNamara
Anybody read the Tank McNamara comic strip in Sports Day? The last few days Tank has been interviewing the Gov. of Indiana about Bob Knight. There was a pretty funny line today. Quote "A quick squeeze to the neck works for most kids. To get some guys on line, they need to black out."

Re: Who thinks the WAC should expand to 12 and who doesn't - why?
I too have mixed feelings about expansion. The only plus I see is the reduction in travel with 2 six team divisions. There aren't any available schools that are going to boost the conference prestige or level of competition IMO. From the list of willing and available, my choice would be New Mexico ...

Re: PonyFans interview with Chris Bordano
Great interview, keep up the good work. It has been alot of fun following SMU players in the NFL the past 2 years, and I am hoping for Chris's sake that the SAINT'S can turn things around.

Re: What teams in Texas, other than SMU, do you guys support!
I used to root for Tech because I was born in Lubbock, but since the breakup of the SWC I pretty much enjoy seeing them all lose. I'll have to tell you though, the Baylor/UNLV game was my favorite.

Re: Bball next year
A tougher non conference schedule is definetly what we need, especially at home. If Dement has trouble scheduling better teams, how about getting us in some of the better tournaments with a shot at the big boys. If my memory is correct, the SMS tournamet is the only one we played last year.

Re: Great Page
I agree with your assement of the team with Hancock. He made huge strides this year, and I really like his poise and versatility. Steven was a wonderful player and won several games for us with his outside shooting, but I think Hancock has the total package.
