Re: Analysis of 2014 Projected StartersWhat day is the first basketball game?
Re: Analysis of 2014 Projected Starters
The opener against Baylor could resemble a basketball blowout score....?
Re: Analysis of 2014 Projected StartersThis is the lowest expectations I've had for this team since I graduated. 3 wins tops and those will be nail biters. Be careful and UNT beats us.
Here's what interests me FAR more: How many football game threads will have posts that include "is it basketball season yet?" or "#basketballschool"? I will go on record right now and say it will be close to 100. I actually think our Oline might be decent and our RB SHOULD be decent if we play KC and some Gresham. I'm interested to see what Gaines and Joseph do (REALLY bummed about the whole Jabryce Taylor thing - that really shocked me) but with no outside deep threat, we get really easy to defend. Our defense will be terrible and secondary will be ripped to shreds continuously. Maybe Caleb will come in and be a beast on the inside but who will start opposite him if not Pope? If Stephon Sanders comes back healthy, he provides a good edge pass rusher but gets exposed in coverage (probably our best athlete on the team but the injury concerns me). Yenga is very athletic but undersized. As far as Burcham goes, I've had very high hopes for him. But even if he comes in and plays decent, he's still an undersized sophomore. I don't know guys, I'm saying 3 wins tops. I hope I'm wrong and wish I felt more confident but I don't. And I'm struggling to find out who those wins will come against to be honest. Memphis will be improved. USF has a lot of talent that has been recruited. Maybe we beat UConn. Not sure who else. Maybe Temple. That's about all I see. Maybe we squeak one out against UNT (we will be their super bowl and I doubt our guys care much about playing against them). Let's start another thread about blowouts. I say Baylor beats us by 40, TCU by 20, and aTm by 30 but only because coach feels bad and pulls the starters in the 3rd quarter.
Re: Analysis of 2014 Projected Starters
I just don't see the speed within the wide receiving corp. to backup this prediction. However, as negative as everyone is you never know who will develop and have a great year, e.g. Holman last year-prior to the season everyone on here wanted him replaced and he ended up having a great season and developed into a deep threat. #Beat Clemson
Re: Analysis of 2014 Projected StartersOur recruiting is reaping what its sown. If we improve in all areas, we'll have a mediocre season, if we don't we'll have another losing season.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
