I just want us to do what it takes to prep for the conference season - still rotate players, get lots of people playing time, stay aggressive on defense. Compete with them on the physical level. If we lose 31-7, but we are competing, working hard, and not making a lot of mental errors, that isn't the end of the world. We all know that we are going to lose some points on special teams and turnovers in this game. If we can limit those and keep the score close for most of the game, I will still be pumped going into the Tulane game.
I think we beat the spread but this is not our win - just no match ups going our way in my opinion. lining up and running like the old days aint gonna work on a defensive line that out weighs our offensive line.
we gotta try to get martin outside but we don't have much that I have seen that goes there. We need new running formations but too late to get them in. Expect that kennedy off tackle pass deal since he actually is the one position that is not undersized
I don't care what Bennett says in his "coach speak". I just want us to be competitive in this game. Please...no more 58-10 blowouts. You can be competitive and lose by more than 2 touchdowns. Can we at least scare them in the 1st half? Hopefully these guys will shock us and continue slowly making believers out of all of us. Need to use every weapon we've got.
I'm with JasonB on this one. I hope like hell that we turn the football cosmos upside down and pull off the upset. But even the most loyal PonyFan (that would be me) will admit that it's not the likeliest turn of events. So if we lose, we lose. Losing by one point looks the same in the standings as losing by 101 points. The margin, frankly, doens't matter. Stay healthy, and get ready for the C-USA season.
I'm a Pony, and I'm a PonyFan!
