...I don't think we're as bad as the score shows either. Aggieland is one of the toughest venues to play, and this is the boy's first time away from home, and A&M is by far the best team we will play this year. And if we had a special teams coach, we'd have been in it in the first half. Let's not get too beat up, not dwell on it, and refocus. I still think we have a decent chance against CUSA opponents if this doesn't get into our heads.

We're still building, we're not a top twenty-five team yet. Okay, we're probably not a top half team yet, but we're light years better than last year.

SMU wasnt supposed to beat the Aggies. We played well the entire first half. We made mistakes and had we not made them we would've been winning. The 3rd quarter was a disaster. Had the Stangs played the way did in the 1st half we would've been hanging with them. If you think we just suck now you're nuts. A&M is a Top 25 team no question and is coming off a loss to Clemson. You dont think they didnt want to kill us?

Oh, I'm not happy with what I was seeing, but I also don't think what I was seeing was all that bad. The Aggies in Aggieland can make anybody look bad. But there was clearly imporvement and killer instinct that had been missing from our guys for a long time. Yeah, we're not BCS Bowl material, but we also aren't as wretched as we once were. And their guys look like most of them have us by at least three inches and 25 pounds per player.

We clearly have a lot of work to do, but I don't think we're going to have a better season than I thought if the team doesn't let this game and performance haunt them.
