Pretty well known that he will probably not be back unless the season greatly exceeds expectations. It would be hard to get kids to commit early under that circumstance even if he was a good recruiter.

JJ just received a 3 year extension. Why does everyone assume and where does it become "known" that he will not be back after next season??? We will have JJ for the next 3 seasons and do not be surprised if they give him another 3 in 2 years.

If a contract has no penalty for breaking it, it is not really a meaningful contract. From very good sources, several people have heard SMU has no payment due (or very small payment due) if we decide to not bring June back.
