Maybe Rice, but that's it.

I'll predict the following:

Rice
ECU
Tulane
...and if those three are in fact w's, I wouldn't be surprised with one more d/t increased confidence.

That's assuming our guys don't play as poorly as they possibly can (vis a vis the 2nd half Saturday, many times during the 1st half, the Baylor game or last year's TCU game). If we get the team described parenthetically, 1-10 wouldn't shock me.

For the rest of the season, we should be in the running. I think we can win a few, if we didn't lose heart at A&M. We muight still be able to jump up and bite someone else, but I see four to five wins when this campaign is over and perhaps even scaring two or three teams that we might not have... This team was just over matched on their first outing away from home against a much bigger and better team in a very tough place to play. If they recover their nerve, our Ponies will do us proud this year. My, we have short memories- what would we have given for this team two years ago?

Tulane, ECU, and Rice I think are wins for us.

Marshall I think we'll win also now that I think about it. Unsure about UAB, at Houston (only reason is because we're there), and UTEP. But we'll see. Should be a fun one if we can keep our confidence level up and play our GOOD game not our 2nd half vs A&M type game.

The only thing that scared me from the A&M game was being burned on open receivers deep. When we face good passing teams I am now not as confident. :?

I'm not as worried about the open receivers downfield -- our secondary was completely gassed, and they said it was over 100 degrees down there. If you're coming up and stuffing the run and then have to chase receivers everywhere as the opponent opens it up, the secondary is going to get wiped out. After all, the receivers know where they're going -- the secondary has to react. I'm more concerned about a quarterback who can really run .... like Tulane's QB, Lester Ricard.

Boys it had a lot less to do with open receivers than it had to do with receivers making great plays and poor tackling. Now McNeil did make that unbelievable throw into the back of the endzone but Humphrey was right there with them-just a great pass and catch. There's highlight page on TexAgs.com and I know on just 4 plays we gave them 220 yards on plays that should have been tackles for short gains.

we'll find out this week how SMU's talent compares with CUSA competition. For this to become a "turnaround" season, this team will have to win 3 of the 4 remaining games at Ford. This bunch will have to be at the top of their game to beat anybody on the road this year.

I was there at the game and honestly the heat had a lot to do with our performance. The band was in coats for half-time and we nearly fell over after just 15 minutes of marching. A&M had shoulder pads that kept their players cool and our players had only fans.

We held our own, but as many have probably guessed, we were just worn out by the heat. When the offense didn't produce, our defense could only go so far running after the ball as a$m aired it up.

However, in the first half, we were beating them in the pass game. Our one touchdown came from a long pass. Had our recievers caught many of the deep passes, we probably would have gone to halftime with a closer score.

A$M's passing game in the end caused our downfall since we were exhausted and once we lost our strength, we gave up.

I wouldn't be too worried about upcoming games. A$M might have been our hardest game (not quite sure about UAB or UTEP), but I still have faith in our Mustangs' ability to play. We can recover from this and only build upon it. After getting hit by the Aggies, our team should be able to take a hit from many teams and show them what pain means.
All it takes is one time for something great to happen...
