Boise State, AAC near settlement over exit fees

Attorneys from Boise State and the American Athletic Conference will meet June 9 in Chicago for mediation to end the partiesâ€™ long-running lawsuits over Boise Stateâ€™s decision not to join the conference.

SMU as a school has quite a bit more in common with Tulsa and Tulane than the mega large state schools you mention. This counts for something. Playing schools that the majority of SMU students may have been considering while in High School counts for something.

Yeah it would be great if we could be competitive with an OU or LSU on a regular basis. At this stage its pure fantasy to think so.
