The Freshman classes of 2009 & 10Which of the kids we recruited panned out, in your opinion? And was our class better or worse than you feared? Would you give them more stars than the services did?

Re: The Freshman classes of 2009 & 10A+ for bowl killings but not sure how much that was other than Padron. I'm disappointed how things turned out with him getting benched / leaving. Most of the rest in my opinion were a big part of some decent to good teams.

Re: The Freshman classes of 2009 & 10That's 16 players (plus Padron*) who worked out. With 50 recruits over that time, this yields an effective recruiting ratio of about 33%. That's good enough to put 22 solid starters on the field when they are juniors and seniors, but doesn't give you a lot of depth.
The problem is recruiting that has not been as effective in subsequent years. (Can anyone say ASU?) *Great bowl game, but lost his starting position and ended his career at EWU, so he is a qualified success.
Re: The Freshman classes of 2009 & 10Max, you hit the nail; that is the problem for the non-P5 teams. Very little quality depth. Sadly until we establish ourselves as consistent winners, we will have to hope we recruit enough quality men and suffer few injuries to them. Hit the "diamond" mines, coaches!
Re: The Freshman classes of 2009 & 10Well, I excluded all the transfers in there and only included freshmen. Add sterling and Crawford. Plus maybe a few others I missed.
Derail the Frogs!
Re: The Freshman classes of 2009 & 10Upgrade from previous years but we've backtracked instead of taking that momentum and continuing to upgrade further. Should be 3-4 four stars and most of the rest mid to high 3 stars beating TCU as much as losing and definitely beating UH.
