Just double-checked.
Lancaster is still a receiver.

Re: Beau Barnes moving to LB?So our starting skill players are:
QB Matt Davis or Neal Burcham RB Kevin Pope WR Der'rikk Thompson WR Darius Joseph WR Ced Lancaster WR Jeremiah Gaines is that accurate? Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: Beau Barnes moving to LB?I would have to guess no WR spot is set in stone at this point, with the exception of maybe Darius Jospeh.
Re: Beau Barnes moving to LB?
I can't imagine three other WRs beating out Der'Rikk 2005 PonyFans.com Rookie of the Year Award Recipient
Re: Beau Barnes moving to LB?Maybe there are three that can catch a football...
Re: Beau Barnes moving to LB?I thought Derrick was much better last year. Unfortunately he missed a few games with an injury, but besides that was much improved. He was terrible at Houston, had a ball go thru his hands at USF that ended up in a Gilbert interception, but otherwise pretty good. I think it helped that they let him do more things - crossing patterns, etc.
I would think he plays 60-70% and either Walker or Ingram plays. Hopefully one is good enough to help a little and the other redshirts. Derrick and Holman caught very few balls in HS and it showed. Beasley and Jeremy Johnson were a lot better athletes and they adjusted much quicker. Hopefully Derrick takes a similar leap like Holman did last year.
Re: Beau Barnes moving to LB?Beau Barnes is still a defensive end.
There mint be situations in which he drops back to linebacker, but he has not been moved. PonyFans.com ... is really the premier place for Mustang talk on the Web.
