I am unsure about which team will show up on Saturday...but am looking for a Mustang victory of about 31-17. C'mon defense, run DM, and don't go postal in the special teams...
Provided a win occurs, would you be content with the 2-2 record/progress so far ?
long live Jim Bob Taylor...

yes, I'd be pretty happy with 2-2 despite the embarrassment at College Station. I also admit I'll be fairly discouraged if we lose or play badly tomorrow.

Many on this thread predicted that our first win would come against Tulane (if any win in Sept occurred). 2-2 is a major plus for this program. Heck fire, many thought if we had a 1-3 record in Sept it would be a major advancement. A not an uncommon few didn’t think we had a chance to win one game! 2-2 and one of those wins is a conference win is a very good Sept for SMU at this stage.
Due to the predicted weather (wet and windy), one would think this is a low scoring game. Defense and a solid running game by SMU are expected. The special teams need to be near perfect. SMU 21-7.

I am going to put a little faith in the defense making a comeback, and hope that with all of our running backs that one of them will prove to be a mudder (maybe thats a plasticer on artificial turf). I believe we will control the ball and win 28-10. This is based on pure, unadulterated optimism and rose colored glasses. Our running game will be good enough that this board will be hailing another era of Ponyexpress on Saturday night (of course that is not true). Special teams will again fail miserably and will continue to do so until next season when a new special teams coach will be hired from money originally designated for a Moody renovation. But special teams will be miserable for both sides and offset.
I do however believe we will win and that we will be competitive in CUSA.

I agree with mrydel that we will have a 'mudder' running back. I think the special teams for both teams will suffer and that includes the field goal team. And I think we have good punt coverage (just need to improve on getting the ball off). Also, I don't think either team will have booming punts/kickoffs. This assumes wind and rain. Given those assumptions, I don't see a field goal and I do see our team (less dependent on the pass) having a better offensive day. I too have somewhat Rose-colored glass but I also feel we have better athletes and a better team this year. I hope we are both incredibly wrong and the second team gets plenty of playing time at SMU 45-17.
Unfortunately, I will be in Chicago for the kickoff so I will be glued to the computer for the game.

Since the time change altered my plans I have just signed up for the CSTV stream and hope I will be able to see the action live. Do not know if it will work well or not but the archive games are very clear on the small screen and passable on the full screen. Should be good enough to see a running game take control. Hopefully it will be ours.

I am desperately hoping for a passable screen on CSTV as I sit in a hotel room during the middle of the day in my second favorite city watching the Mustangs go to .500. And I should be a lot drier than either Dallas or Little Rock. Guess I will order Chicago style pizza and an Old Style for the game.

If you can not see the Mustangs maybe you could catch a Cubs game. They are kind of the SMU Major League Baseball equivalent.

enjoy Ponyte. A pie from Ginos East, cold beer and college football, cant go wrong. Old Style only tastes good at Wrigley Field though and thats just atmosphere.

Guys, check the front row seat right where the Cubs' bullpen catcher squats. That is were Ponyte will be sitting on Sunday. And I prefer Uno's or Rinaldi's over Gino's. Personnel preference.

Looks like less weather issues than earlier thought.
Offenses & defenses play equal.
This time, Pony Special Teams finally step up:
