THIS! People will hate on June for no reason at all. 8-4 sounds like a very reasonable prediction.

Zach Line was the prototypical back in a June Jones offense. If you one are going to talk to yourself, at least get your facts straight.

Way off, Davis probably doesn't see the field and Gresham may not either as this is not an easy system for True Frosh/Transfers. This and the contradictory record in the article makes me think he threw it together in like 10 minutes with no real thought/insights. Wish we could find someone at the DMN who really wanted to cover SMU Athletics thoroughly.

Technically he said with Davis we will win 8 games and go bowling...but he predicts 5-7 because June will ride Burcham all the way...

Exactly - the only time he modified was with Shawbrey McNeal - where he really changed up his plays to take advantage of McNeal's ability.

I will he would adjust with KC and use somewhat like he used McNeal. I am convinced that KC could have been productive and has really been wasted because the coaches have not properly used him.

I don't think EJ has been out at practice this year, so I am not surprised he is off.

Burcham is going to play until we get spanked, and then he will probably start the next week. Remember the first year of GG, where he really struggled the first 6 games, and then we put in the zone read and he was able to make the most out of running the ball, even though he threw a lot of picks? That is where Davis is right now. Lots of turnovers and a low passer rating.

Not saying the talent isn't there, just that he isn't ready, and Burcham is.

The one thing I really like about Davis is that the other players love the guy. He is a true leader. Burcham is the guy I want in the game to score points. But if a game is starting to slip away and the team starts to quit a little bit, Davis is the type of leader who won't let the team quit on him.

The other bit of the prediction about Gaines - that is another aspect where EJ hasn't been out to practice. Gaines has a ton of talent, and great size. But if the ball comes up on him too quick when he is coming out of his break, he struggles to make the catch every time. He is talented and eventually it will come. But he isn't there yet. Think Holman before it all came together his senior year. More "football aware" than Holman was, but some of the similar issues with making the right reads, exploding out of a break, and getting hands up quick.
