I concede that SMU's experience is similar in getting students into the stadium before Kick-off and having them stay for the entire game. Despite the many other distractions and outlets for their time, JJ needs to directly engage the student body, much like LB has in BB. Better results, stronger competition and identification with our teams will contribute to better student attendance.

Fraternities and sororities bear a big responsibility and own part of the solution. Their behavior impacts other students, especially freshman. With sophomores now living on campus, that might help. We need to get everyone off the Boulevard well before Kick-off.

Only the Mustang Band can be counted to be there and provide much of the energy from the student section.

Schedule quality home opponents & win consistently.

Most schools are either doing one or the other (or neither) which is leading to trouble with student tickets already costing so much. Not sure why this is even a question across CFB?

We are no exception to this rule. When we schedule good teams and have a reasonable chance of success, our student section is packed. When we don't, student attendance suffers accordingly.

Its a different age and time. They can go to a bar and hang out and watch a lot of games at once in HD for free. College and student loans are already sky high.

$49 season tickets for young alumni.
SMU is giving tickets away which I have no problem with, as they try to increase attendance.
