People are always asking, 'well did you have 2 million dollars to buy out June's contract?' Maybe it's time we answer them. Maybe we should add another benefactor to the circle of champions. By crowd sourcing it, we could finally make an impact. For all the blue hairs, crowd sourcing through a site like crowdtilt.com allows people to pledge contributions that they will pay to see an item manufactured, a party thrown, a movie made, (a new coach hired), etc. While you make a pledge, contributors are only charged if the target amount is reached. Coming off a loss like this may or may not be the day to be jazzed up as a fan base, but we need a straight-up boss coaching/recruiting for our team--at the end of the season at the absolute latest. Most of us cannot make a million dollar contribution, but I feel like just about everyone of us has $150? $350? Less? Significantly more? We would pay to see someone come in who is going to make us relevant and end the suffering. If June can't do it, we need to band together and masked something happen

That suggestion deserves serious comment...I am one of those old guys, but I do watch the changing world with amazement....the use of the internet to raise money for a specific purpose is not new... It has been used in politics for some time...but I do wonder if smu would allow a fund to be created to replace a coach, build the natatorium, the indoor practice facility or an enhanced tutoring effort...for one,I would do so if it qualified as a charitable contribution to smu,...it might let smu better understand the frustrations of its fans...maybe not....but you young guys probably understand the obstacles, the benefits, etc.

I think that is a good idea. However, I also think a lot of us would be very reluctant to make a commitment without knowing who the replacement would be.
I for one, have no confidence in casper making a 'splash' hire. He is RGT's tool and if RGT had really wanted a championship level fball program he would have shown that desire long, long ago- not just in the last 6-7 years.

Another idea- form a group called 'ponies anonymous' -similar to AA. We could all get up and say 'gee, I used to be a pony fan but now I am cured. I no longer drink tiki's koolaid'. LB could be the moderator.
