I ride DART weekly.

Which is why I inserted (joke) after that statement. :)

I don't get it. Why is that a joke?

Gotta admit that made me chuckle :-) Nice!

Some just like to feed the stereotype. Not judging or saying it was a bad joke, but I've just met way more SMU folks that don't fit the stereotype. Then again, I tend to run in the lowly grad student circles...

Thanks for the info! They sell beer at Apogee, don't they? If the game is as brutal as some of us fear then taking the train is a much smarter decision than driving.

I live in NW Dallas and catch the Green Line at Royal and Denton Dr., take it to the Trinity Mills station and catch the DCTA train which takes you directly into the Denton Square. There are a lot of cool bars and restaurants within walking distance. You can catch a shuttle from the square to the pedestrian bridge leading to Apogee stadium.

If you have any questions let me know but let me just say this is a great way to get to the game, and not have to worry about driving and parking. I hope some of you will give this a shot. I think you will be pleased with how well it works. The square in Denton is really fun and I would suggest you check out Oak Street and Eastside while you are there.

Thanks for the info. Looks like it will be a good way to enjoy ourselves and get back safely. Any recommendations for after the game in downtown Denton Square?

This will be the first game we have sold it to the general public. My understanding is they will have 7 different brands and they will all be in the aluminum type canister. Kind of a bummer because I prefer draft. It will be a work in progress but you should be able to whet you whistle if so inclined.

They have sold beer up in the club area since the stadium opened.

A couple of suggestions, they have some really good kettle corn but there is usually a long line for it and they run out so grab a bag early if you can. Also the best deal for parking is to park at Fouts and walk across the pedestrian bridge. It's only 10 dollars. There is tailgating at Fouts but the prime spots are over on the Hill on the east side of the stadium.

Since the game is so early it may be better to take the train and plan on hitting the square after the game is over. The shuttle will drop you off on the way back and you can walk to the train after you eat etc...

I didn't know that. Smart move by UNT. It will be commonplace at most schools in the near future.
