I mean, they're always going to be at least one rung below us in the conference realignment totem pole, so shouldn't they root for us to do as well as possible and move up to the big leagues so they can take our spot in the AAC and fill the DFW market void? Perhaps that involves a little too much critical thinking for them, though...

Delusional and smug.

If we are waiting for you to leave the AAC for a P5, we better get used to CUSA for the rest of our football existence.

Realize what you are and work to improve.

We are going to a P5. We are one coach away in Football and already there in basketball. We will provide the ratings and revenue necessary with basketball and football will soon follow once we breach the 10 win barrier. UNT is getting better and they may take our place in the AAC once 2026 comes along and the big dogs decide to take a big hitter in a huge market with them.

Not a fan of UNT trolling our board recently by the way. And to those who doubt, we are still TCU's rival, ask any TCU fan. We may be inferior to them in football this cycle but 25 years ago we dominated them. Things come full circle, fyi and they have never been for UNT-SMU. (28-4) and soon to be 38-4 when the home and homes end.

Ya, ya, ya. And SMU is gonna be a playin' for a national title the 1st year after June Jones is gone!!!

Really, dude, try to find some reality in your life. Jones did better at Hawaii. Hawaii!! That should tell you how far your program has fallen.

The club has formed and you are I. The outside looking in, just like the rest of us. I see people on here posting the great academic advantage of having an SMU degree. You certainly are far from any example of such an edge.

I hope you guys manage to bring 1/8 of your true home attendance to this game (about 200 people. I'll make it simply for Floridastang. That's 4k ;-)) to witness getting taken apart up in Denton. Maybe then people like you that think this is 1984 will get a clue.

Less than 24 hours.

200 out of 4,000 is 1/20, not 1/8.

If you were meaning to say 4,000 is 1/8 of our attendance, then that would make our home attendance 32,000, which would be a sellout at Ford Stadium.

I am not even going to get into your grammar errors...

Why do mods allow these idiots with obvious troll nicks into the board?

UNT is SMU's RIVAL.....

Postby floridianstang » Fri Sep 05, 2014 4:57 pm

For there to be a "rivalry" there has to be some parity in the record. 28-4 is not a rivalry, it only says that North Texas State has always been our sacrificial lamb in the cotton bowl and texas stadium. I still don't get why we signed a home and home deal, we should have you guys come to ford and give us 7 home games. But whatever, tomorrow you will see SMU depth outlasting your "team" in a one sided affair. We got throttled by #10 Baylor (which may go undefeated this year) you guys lost to Charlie Strong in his first game, so don't lose perspective.

(Sorry guys, I know I shouldn't answer him but I needed to vent)

Give the guy a break, this little pretend rivalry is the Super Bowl to him.

Some of these trolls from NTSu should remember they are no better than one level better than a community college. They should consider themselves lucky to be playing SMU

Mean Green 28-10. The problem some do you have is the fact that you live in the past when SMU was a powerhouse. It has been nearly 30 years and it's not coming back any time soon, if ever. NT, like it or not, is a good rivalry game for SMU. This being said, our programs are heading in totally different directions and it may not even be close say 3-5 years from now! Could be a TCU vs SMU type game, chalk it up as a win every year. Ignoring the obvious and living for back in the day, doesn't help anyone! Good luck tomorrow and safe travels, you''ll enjoy the new stadium! We are going to spank the ponies and your girls after the NT win!! So don't forget to bring your girls, don't worry, I'll bring them home on Sunday before church.
