How many Dallas Cowboys players and coaches were attending bball games in Garland? How many local socialites were at the bball games last year?
One win does not a program make. Several wins gets people excited and on the bandwagon.
Win--and win often--and they will attend.
exactly. a new coach w/ energy will help. but we HAVE GOT TO DO SOMETHING about the non-conf schedule. ok, so UNT is on there for a decade, so is TCU. i'm fine w/ both of those. the other two should be total cupcakes. we should look at our non-conf schedule and EVERY YEAR think ok, 3-1 is worst case scenario, and hopefully we pull one over on TCU. if we're 6-1 or 7-1 the fans will show up. start putting up 9 and 10 win seasons (thorough weak non-conf) and dallas folks will come out. go ask TCU how it worked out for them. they didn't take on the "anyone, anywhere, anytime" until several years of 10 win seasons and getting recruits that are attracted to wins.
