Re: Interesting read: FCS to FBSThere are some FCS coaches that have had to deal with academic issues and still manage to put competitive teams on the field against schools that have no academic rules. Jimmie Laycock at William & Mary comes to mind. There are some great coaches at FCS level. You have to be sure you get one who is accustomed to having to deal with academics along with the X's and O's. I think when we hired Cavan, he didn't know what he was getting into with our recruiting restrictions. Now we have fewer restrictions, but need to be sure there is a buy in from whomever we hire. So, they aren't griping like a recent former coach who shall remain nameless.
