CollegeFootball News' take on the game.

SMU (1-3) at Marshall (1-2) 4:00 p.m. ET
Why to watch: It's condition critical time for the seasons of both teams as Marshall suffered the indignity of being the one UCF broke its long losing streak against, while SMU followed up the great 21-10 win over TCU by getting blasted by a combined score of 97 to 18 against Texas A&M and Tulane. The winner in the interdivisional Conference USA game is still alive for the title, while the loser can likely kiss any hopes of a bowl game bu-bye.
Why SMU might win: Despite having a great back in Ahmad Bradshaw, Marshall has become a one-dimensional team only a passing team. While SMU hasn't been great against the pass, it has had more problems against good running teams. The Herd have had major problems trying to hang on to the ball turning it over 11 times in three games.
Why Marshall might win: And welcome back to Earth SMU's offense. The Mustangs started out the season looking like things were going to be better after a dismal offensive showing in 2004, but then everything went into the tank only getting one long touchdown pass against Texas A&M and failing to generate much against Tulane. Only averaging 256 yards per game on the, SMU can't afford to get into any sort of a shootout.
Who to watch: The quarterback situation for each team continues to be a problem. For Marshall, Jimmy Skinner and Bernard Morris have been trading off the job thanks to ineffective play from each. Skinner can't stop throwing interceptions, and Morris can't start moving the offense. For SMU, head coach Phil Bennett can't get any consistency out of his quarterbacks. Jerad Romo appeared ready to take over the starting job for good, and then he stunk against Tulane holding on to the ball way too long and having problems when he did have time. Now, Tony Eckert, the No. 1 man to start the season, is back in the mix.
What will happen: Marshall will quickly bounce back from the UCF debacle and will get back into Conference USA race with an easy win. The defense will come up with its best game yet.
CFN Prediction: Marshall 31 ... SMU 13... Line: Marshall-11.5 | Make your pick and compete against others
Must See Rating: (5 lock yourself in a room to watch - 1 Out of Practice) ... 2

Sounds like Marshall's QB situation is a lot like ours. Our D needs to feast on some turnovers for us to have a chance.

Last week Nnabuife and Sturdivant had potential INTs that they dropped, and Ro had his brilliant TD return called back. When we have those chances, we need to convert them. At least one defensive score, please.
