Re: Serious question: Who could this team beat?We haven't played Old Dominion.
Re: Serious question: Who could this team beat?
We gave up 43 to UNT. That's just as bad. SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four
2014-15 & 2016-17 AAC Men's Basketball Champs
Re: Serious question: Who could this team beat?I don't think we can answer the OP's question. The 1st two games were June's. Today we played one of the best, if not the best, teams in the country. I think A&M will be the SEC representative in the platoffs. June may be gone, but his offense is not. I don't know about you guys, but I didn't expect as opposed to hope anything different today. Well that is not totally true, I didn't think our best QB would be a walk on. Anyway not much can change in less than two weeks.

Serious question: Who could this team beat?ECU, Cincy, UCF and Houston are P5 teams stuck here
Re: Serious question: Who could this team beat?
No, none of the Bennet or Cavan teams averaged 4 points (or less) per game three games into the season. Compared to this year, SMU averaged less points per game three games into the season only in the following years: 1916, 1921, 1932, 1960. The negative point differential margin three games into this season (12 vs. 146 = 134 negative point differential) has been exceeded only once in SMU’s history (1916). Re: Serious question: Who could this team beat?We will beat UConn and possibly USF
Re: Serious question: Who could this team beat?the way they are playing right now, this team won't beat anyone on our schedule...but I agree with coach Mason, i.e., that we might have enough talent to compete with some AAC teams. Will be tough for these guys to gain any confidence before the Memphis game. I fully expect to be beaten badly the next 2 weeks but I'm going to remain hopeful this team show signs of life against Cincy and plays to it's potential against Memphis.
Re: Serious question: Who could this team beat?
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this team is better than the 1916 team. We lost to Rice 146 to 3 ! ![]()

Re: Serious question: Who could this team beat? Both the 1987 and 1988 SMU teams, but we would need to rush for more than negative yards...
Re: Serious question: Who could this team beat?
And people here complain about 95-21 ![]()
