The job has to be appetizing to Morris. Texas roots, a program full of holes and issues that would show his ability and enable him to showcase himself in Texas if he turns around the program. If not, he has all the excuses in the world and goes back to OC for someone before trying his hand at HC again. If he succeeds, he can move up to a bigger program including the native Texan holy grail, depending on whether Strong solidifies that program or not. If Strong has issues in 4 years and Morris has SMU winning and recruiting strong in Texas, he would have a good shot.

You said in another thread we were hiring Mason. Or was that Big12.

The native Texan coaching holy grail is now A&M - and Sumlin will come out of their for the pros at some point.

Got me.

But yeah, I'll go out on a limb and say Clemson blows limes. Sounds about right

Lots of June Jones type criticisms of Morris out there. Are we sure we want him?

everyone likes Mason, and he has a zero percent chance of getting the job. Rick cant afford the risk of short arming this and missing. If we miss it is going to be because we tried to shake up the world, not hire the in place DC of a not great team.
