Anyone here remember Sleepy Morgan and Red McClain? They were awesome Mustang fans. I wonder what they would be offering up on this forum if they were still around?

I still chuckle thinking about Sleepy at practice. He would blow the whistle and call us all together. Then he would point to an airplane coming in for a landing at Love. He would say "Look at that big old bird. I just don't know how they stay up in the air". Then he would blow the whistle and we would start practice again.

Those two were the best. SMU misses them greatly but happy they and my parents and grandparents haven't had to endure the heartbreak of the last 25 yrs. They would be beyond upset if they were still here. RGT and the Trustees would be getting an ear full for sure. Yeah Red; yeah Blue; We are the Mustangs of SMU!
