Anybody notice that Josh McCown threw for 385 yards and 2 touchdowns yesterday. Pretty good for a quarterback that didn't have what it takes to keep his starting job. How many quarterbacks have started since he jumped ship?

McCown looked damn good Sunday night (albeit against a terrible SF defense). I was happy for him -- I like that guy, and I hope he enjoys great success.

Say what you will about the 49er D.

But McCown threw for 20+ more yards (and two less INTs) than the 1993 (or whenever he came out) first overall draft pick and the NFLs #10 all time passing yardage leader against the same team.

Not a bad day for a guy who couldn't play at little ol SMU.
