I am currently guarding Doak's Heisman

I'm not sure if it was the original but they had Doak's Heisman displayed at the fair a couple of weeks ago.

It's definitely the original. Whether it's Doak's or SMU's, it's the original. The only question is if it's Doak's original or SMU's original.

Yes, the player and the school each get a trophy. I remember a couple of years ago Pat Haden shipped Reggie's Heisman that was given to the school back to the Heisman trust and that is one of the events that caused him to forfeit his trophy and title.

The Old Red Museum downtown has a Doak Heisman on permanent display.
