See the following offenses:

Briles 2009
Leach 2012
Mangino 2004
JJ SMU after Gilbert

The scheme works with the right OL and QB, however it's JJ's fault for not getting them to the Hilltop.

Seems like I've read that here before...

In the CFL the receivers get a running start. But that said, JJ can succeed if there is someone else to do the things he doesn't want to do, like recruit or deal with the defense. I am also not sold on the lack of contact drills in August. We have a huge injury list some of which occurred in the first couple of games of the season. Is that due to lack of conditioning or lack of contact? I think they go hand in hand. JJ has his faults and you know what you're getting with him. Bottom line is that he's left the program in worse shape than when he got here.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Better and worse. Worse in that we have less talent than when he arrived. However, he did take us to 4 straight bowl games so he proved that it is possible to win at SMU. Now it is time to get serious about recruiting so we can win big!!!
