Spring Game

Will we have a spring game this year? I'm assuming we never had one under June due to lack of talent on the team?

I don't think it was due to lack of talent, but I would expect to have one this year.

No idea, but I guarantee the interest in spring football at SMU will be unprecedented this year.

I think it cut into JJ's scheduled offseason time in Hawaii. You know everyday between the last game and fall practice the next.

I'd be pretty shocked if we didn't have a spring game this year.

JJ didn't want one because he was too lazy to host it and don't forget our guys weren't allowed to actually hit during practice.

With CM's background in Texas Football this will certainly be revived. June gave a bunch of crap about not wanting to waste practice time. CM understands the value of building a brand and connecting with the community.

The Spring game was always so poorly attended, but with the new coach and system maybe we could get a crowd?

we haven't had one in 5 years - the attendance in 2007 is not really relevant.

The crowd was pretty good in 08 for June's first season.....before we all realized that we weren't actually watching a game

If this was marketed properly and with enough notice, it would have a nice turnout. Especially now that there's beer in the stadium.
