stallion, once again you are full of crap... i still cant believe people actually listen to some of the stuff you put out there...what is your problem with eckart???
well lets see, based on last years stats eckart was 111 for 204, with 6 tds and 13 int's with 1,406 yards. tell me how you got 35% stallion??? according to my calculation that is almost 53%!!!! I sure hope bennet gets eckarts medical redshirt, because if eckart gets the blocking he needs up front he will be a great qb for us....so stallion, thanks for playing with the stats...i think it is really sad how you keep trying to demoralize one of our own...so eat [deleted] stallion Mustangs will win in 04
35% is the passing percentage of the great Tony Eckert who was the exulted starter for the 2005 season which would have shattered the SMU record for poorest Passing Percentage by an SMU Passing Leader during any year in our history. Read the NCAA rulebook. We've seen the last of the great Tony Eckert.
it was the best said by tshoot, i believe, that stallion is nothing more than a fart in a bottle....again 35%of what stallion???? eckart completed 53% of his passes in the 8 games he started....
we have not seen the last of eckart and we will all be seeing plenty of him next year when he gets his redshirt....the NCAA rulebook would have nothing to do with anything we are talking about Mr. Wynn, i figured you would know that, being that you are a lawyer and all.... once again stallion has no proof to back up what he says, just a bitter old man are we??? Thanks for playing....... Mustangs will win in 04
There's a possibility that Eckert could apply for -- and get -- a medical redshirt for this year. So there's a chance he can come back next year.
I personally like that idea. Whether he's THE MAN or not next year is irrelevent. Having experienced depth at QB is a luxury we've not had in forever.
Yes, Romo did telegraph some throws -- and floated some -- but I think two of the INT's came off tipped passes.
The team played with heart on Saturday; a vast improvement from tulane. This team is much more competitive and fun to watch than in recent years.

No, there isnt. Apply for it, sure. But getting it is pretty much out of the question. He played in 5 games. It doesnt matter that he only played 1 series in 3 of those games, one snap equals a games participation. I'm afraid Phil is pulling your chain on this one. Try not to choke on the Kool-Aid.
I looked it up a couple of weeks ago and then again a moment ago and although there appears to be some amendment effective in 2005 the test as it reads in the 2005 manual is still that the player must not have participated in more than two contests or dates of competition or 20 percent whichever is greater of the institutions scheduled contests. SMU's participation stats say he played in 5 games so that's going to have to be a "creative argument" which us lawyers like to call the "Taint Fair Defense"
Since the sunshiners started running out of things to latch onto. Unfortunately, hope for SMU is harder to find than a needle in a haystack.
