OT: Football conference payouts?

I was watching the Marshall game tonight and they mentioned something about the 'highest ranked G5 conference gets by far the biggest payout in bowl season'. They followed that up with saying currently the MWC is in the lead then mentioned something about the MAC last year. What the heck is that all about?

I thought it was just: boise makes access bowl and MWC gets the big payday. Is there some overall G5 conference ranking facet???

They were probably just talking about the payout from the "access bowl." The bit about the MAC was probably actually 2 years ago, when NIU made the BCS.

That's what i thought but they worded it oddly. Boise is going to get crushed. I would rather have seen marshall or memphis/ucf.
