Undersized Beachum quietly excels at 1 of game's pivotal positions

Kelvin Beachum quietly goes about his business without fanfare.
Then again, he wouldn't have it any other way.
The Steelers' third-year left tackle has played well all season. Yet, his rise among the league's young linemen has gone relatively unnoticed, partly because of the play of the Big Three: quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, running back Le'Veon Bell and receiver Antonio Brown.
Bell, however, readily concedes Beachum's improvement from last season is one reason the offensive line often has created gaping holes for him to carve out an AFC-leading 1,278 yards rushing in his second season.
“I don't know how you measure the job Beachum and those guys have done up front,†Bell said, “but I know what he means to the offense.â€
