In only 1 week hapless SMU will play winless Rice for the coveted worst team in Texas trophy. SMU is hoping to win it but the mighty birds of Rice have it in their cross-hairs too. I say it goes to triple OT. What agony that will be. Watching a regulation SMU game is bad enough. Fans will be dropping like flies from boredom. I'm calling it 10-9 SMU. Sunshiners unite! Your team will win! Happy days are here again. We have something to build on for next year.

In a related development, after the football game, the SMU men's basketball team (which in no way should be compared to the football team since they actually win more than they lose) will play the mighty Ouachita Baptist Baptists in front of a crowd of mostly Baptists since it is Baptist day at Moody. Great fun for everyone.
