anyone have any idea what the chances are of getting philip burley..
it would be a shame if we couldn't get one of our guys' little bro (although he is not little 6-5 200...

what are the chances of these guys coming as a package.. hopefully if they will they will be more successful than luker/cardwell were.. although imagine if cardwell was in our offense now

We're still in the running for Burley, but I'd say it's far from a done deal.
I don't know anything about Lang.

Lang is a 3-star (athlete) who plays runningback on the team. His leader is Iowa state right now.

I'm not sure if either are definite qualifiers. I thought Rivals had a SAT score of 820(borderline) listed for Burley but didn't see it when I looked again. He is listed with a GPA of 3.16. In an article on Setember 28, Burley was still waiting on an SAT score. They've changed to a new scoring system anyway. For Lang they list a 2.74 GPA but that could be trouble if he doesn't have good grades in his core classes at a small school like Scurry-Rosser. SMU hadn't offered either as of recently but I think they have offered both as of now. However, they have received more offers recently so I assume that they have at least taken the SAT-the offers might be a positive indication.

I think you're right, Stallion -- I've heard they have offered Burley.

I changed it to reflect an SMU offer to Lang as well who mentions he has been to a couple of SMU games.

Interesting -- I hadn't heard that Lang had been offered. Hope you're right, and that the chance to play together (and with Kenard) helps sway them, if they're as good as advertised.
