My favorite line from the SWC days. Houston was running through the conference pretty well and they were scheduled to play in the Cotton Bowl game New Year's Day. Hoss Brock was quoted as saying that Houston fans will not fill up the Cotton Bowl and the team is not a good draw. "Half the fans will be eating at the 7-11 and the other half will be holding it up."

DKR once described the coogs as being the cockroaches of the SWC in that they could contaminate the whole schedule with their play and victories.
