I may have to go back and watch that Tulane game again on CSTV total access, because I don't remember the gutsy, determined performance worthy of NFL films complete with commentary and background music that you seen to recall. I remember SMU played like dog dung on both sides of the ball, a point you seem to be agreeing with me on. I think SMU made Tulane look better than they were, even then.
And let's not be revisionist. The Tulane football team was in Dallas just two weeks and had been in Ruston, LA for two weeks before playing SMU.
