SMU should start working on getting Matt Flynn--currently the 2nd string SOPHOMORE QB at LSU. He's behind JaMarcus Russell (also a Sophomore) although he was the #1 Texas QB recruit 2 years ago. Next year, he'll be 3rd string behind JaMarcus and Ryan Perilloux.

He's an awesome running QB, he's a Texas boy AND he's ripe for the picking. C'mon Bennett, use your past LSU contacts to get in there and get Matt Flynn!!!

I agree with you, BR Stang, but I would guess that if Matt Flynn transferred, it would be to Baylor. His dad is a professional acquaintance of mine, and he also happens to be a proud alum of Baylor law school.

partly-I've been told by persons "very close to the program" of interest from top notch quality Division 1A prospects who expressed interest in SMU. Look any school that wants them can have them especially a "hometown" school like SMU. You have to be a complete idiot to be an observer of SMU recruiting and CUSA/WAC and MWC recruiting over the last 15 years and not realize exactly why we rarely get them. TCU is taking it to a new level and it has and will be even more in the future be a factor in their success as it has at UTEP, Tulsa, Houston, Baylor and just about every other school in this area similar to SMU.
