Jerry was also made a member of our Hall of Fame last night, along with Legend Hayden Fry and several other athletes and former coaches.

Jerry gave one hell of a speech--I hope someone recorded it, it will make one heck of a recruiting speech--how SMU prepared him for not only the NFL, but his career after--"Never felt I was intimidated or unprepared going into any board room or business meeting anywhere in the world, thanks to SMU." (I think that is pretty close)...

Also funny, about how he has a mustang statue in his front yard, and the neighbors always complain, but the statue stays as long as that damn TCU flag flies across the street!

My freshman year, he seemed to live in the McElvaney lobby and cafeteria. While Dave Richards was taller, Ball was biggest dude I had ever met.
