Question for you gambling experts

Postby mrydel » Fri Aug 19, 2011 9:39 pm

I am heading back to Vegas to invest in my retirement plan. Was wondering, if I were to put some money down on the Ponies (SMU ones), would I have to be in Vegas to collect should I win? I have not ever done any sports gaming there. How do you collect for instance if you put money down for an NFL team to win the Super Bowl? Again, do you have to go back to Vegas to collect. I doubt if they use PayPal. :?

Don't have to be present to win. I put $20 down on a 30-1 last score of super bowl non line of scrimmage. Believe greeenbays Desmond Howard ran it back. Mailed in my printout/bet and got check in mail.

Yes, correct. To place a bet you have to be present* but you do not have to be to collect it; you do have several options as to how to collect it (most sports books give you the option to mail your ticket in for a fee).

I did the same thing the year UT won the National Championship in Football. The check arrived promptly.

Unfortunately, my SMU National Championship Ticket (BB) this year didn't pay off.
