Re: UC hoping for big 12 invite
Don't be surprised if it happens. If the OU Wing of the B12 gets its way, they will add 2 schools from some combination of Cincinnati, Memphis, and UH. Do unto others before they do unto you!!
Re: UC hoping for big 12 invite
From a business and TV point of view that would be a good move, opens up a new market that they do not have now. Sent from my KOREAN knockoff using Tapdance 5
Re: UC hoping for big 12 invite
I don't see how you can possibly mean that. After ND and BYU, Cincy is at the front of the line. It may not be the Big XII but they will eventually get a seat at the table. SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four

Re: UC hoping for big 12 inviteSports columnist in the Memphis paper has a piece over the weekend (firewall protected) about the importance of Memphis continuing to improve its football product with the goal of getting into a P5.
This will be interesting to follow. Fuentes deserves the credit for their current success and he is likely to be on some shopping lists for bigger programs if the Tigers have another good year. The program is having some money problems -- basketball team flew commercial some last year -- and a BIG buyout for Pastner is looming. The Tigers will need to find another DITR in their next coaching search. And we know that DITRs don't always work out.
Re: UC hoping for big 12 inviteWasn't it just revealed that if Big 12 adds members, then TV networks would pay more? Look at what's happening with ESPN right now and the future of cable in general, and add to that the fact that no one outside of ND (not happening) would raise the value of the Big 12's media deal in any significant way, and I don't see Big 12 adding teams.
