I don't know how much we were paying him, but hopefully not much considering he wasn't even certified going into last season and the NCAA found out about it.

It is uncommon, however, to purposely stay home off campus over the summer so that you can train with your trainers and avoid the SMU S&C staff. And you are so sick of the old school strength activities that Mel supported that you go in the complete opposite direction and focus on agility instead of strength and conditioning. Which is seriously what happened.


I guess I dreamed up the 7 guys including my son that were all using the same trainer (David Oliver ) in the off season. 7 were drafted in 2004. But WTF do I know.

I wasn't trying to invalidate your comment :). I'm just relaying what some of the parents of players on last year's team (and a couple of the players themselves) told me for last year specifically.

Combine prep different from standard S&C workouts.

Jason I'm not sure I can take a guy seriously that didn't know who our QB was at A$M - Member? I was standing right next to you :mrgreen:

you were talking to me not really paying attention after Kyle through two interceptions and they put what's his name in. I think most everybody was dumbfounded by it and didn't notice for a while I mentioned it to you and you were like what lol

Oh yeah, JJ came in, that's right :). I think everyone had a WTF cloud over their head. And then the ash started to come down because of all the fires around east texas.

just about the entire tailgate AC cold beer.
