I think it goes beyond long strides because he has really good burst at the end of his routes which gives him separation.

Sorry if it has already been mentioned but what was Suttons status on the team last year? Was he injured? How can a player go from not playing to the most spectacular receiver in the country within a year just because of a coaching change? Were Jones and Phillips that bad at judging receiving talent...among other things.

would you have preferred if Sutton played last season and essentially wasted a year of eligibility? He played safety in high school, so he needed some time to learn route running. SMU moved him to receiver nearly immediately when he got here I think. Lots to complain about but certainly don't think this is one of them.

Jeremy Johnson syndrome: 1 catch his freshman year, 99 his senior year, left prior to the 2014 debacle. Sure would have been nice to have a guy of high enough ability to have a cup of coffee in the NFL on the team as a 5th year senior.

Came in a safety, then moved to WR once the staff realized his ability to block. Then hurt in the first game I think.
