Exactly. And freeze is recruiting at a level better than they have ever seen. They should stop bellyaching.

What good is the talent if you're too stupid to know how to use it? The coaching this season has been some of the worst I have ever seen.

Same stupid argument used against Mack Brown at Texas.

You recruit too well! You're only winning 9 or 10 games a year! You should win every game!!!

Oh wait before you got here we were trash.

Who cares! Fire him!
Back off Warchild seriously.

give credit to Memphis; they played hard and never folded when it appeared momentum was turning in that game. Ole Miss is a tough gig because they are always going to be chasing the majority of their SEC West Division mates that have had much more successful programs in the modern era of college football (which I define as since the advent of cable TV)

Miss football teams are not elite but somehow they seem to get put in the top 10 before they collapse lately.

Memphis has had that game circled on their calendar all year long, much like Mississippi did 'Bama.

Memphis has won, what, 14 games in a row? They've beaten BYU in a bowl, gave UCLA a game last year, and won at a Big XII school and perhaps the best team in the MAC. Give credit where credit is due. Memphis finally has a strong team.

Go Tigers!

Memphis was underrated and, well, most of the SEC is overrated. Deal with it.

Not sure why RebStang hates Hugh Freeze. Seems like a good guy and beat Bama 2 years in a row. How many coaches have done that in Saban's time there?

RebStang is just doing what Ole Miss folks do with their coaches. Thank God (for Duke) they treated David Cutcliffe the same way a few years ago. It was very much like SMU and Hayden Fry.

I remember when Reb was on here talking about how it was total luck that Ole Miss beat Alabama right after it happened. Wait, no I don't.

Memphis looked great to me. Definitely not pretenders. This can only bode well for the aac if they are able to keep it up.

If Memphis can sustain this kind of success (and fan interest) in their football program to go along with a historically strong bball program, they could jump to the top of the list of P5 expansion candidates (in case the Big XII wants a championship game to bolster their resume for final four playoff consideration). I've always looked at Memphis and Cincy (assuming BYU is a no go) as the top candidates for Big XII consideration as they help bridge the gap to West Virginia and bring new television markets to the league.

Reb is acting like Ole Miss is USC or Alabama, when in reality their football program has been a joke for most of its history. Hugh Freeze can recruit and if you can win 9 games at Ole Miss in the same division with LSU, Auburn, A&M, and Bama, you're doing something right. Also he's beaten Bama 2 years in a row.

Hell of a job by Fuente and Memphis. Fuente is about to get paid big bucks
