La Tech is standing in the wings to replace Rice or Tulane if an opening ever occurs in the CUSA. I prefer La Tech to UNT because they are a stronger program right now.

to answer a question from above, Rice has one commitment from OLM Ryan Burke of North Mesquite who I believe was First Team All-4A. Don't think he was too highly recruited but he has decent size 6-2 1/2, 265. He said SMU was interested at the time of his commitment. I saw an article in which he said he is very unhappy about the firing of Ken Hatfield and will look into any availiable alternatives.

Burke was at some SMU practices LAST season and during the spring, so to some degree, I guess he was interested in us, too.
