Yeah, but I don't think he has a spot anywhere close to get playing time?

Montgomery hurts. It is really difficult for a frosh to step in and play corner well. It would have been nice for him to be at one spot and Clemons, K Johnson, Jeanlys, Ho Richardson to fight it out for the other. Now you have two players coming off of injury (and Clemons most thought of as a safety), a third who always gets injured, Jeanlys who everyone thinks highly of but hasn't grabbed a starting spot, and Sutton who is probably the most likely of the young players to contribute at corner. Montgomery was the one guy who had experience, has been durable, and has shown a clear growth trajectory. I am much more comfortable with youth at safety than corner.

I forgot to mention Lancaster, but I think he is behind all of these guys in the pecking order.

For some reason I was thinking he had moved over to Safety?

Ke'Mon Freeman has never been considered as a LB-that's Carmouche but the depth at RB might convince Carmouche to move over the LB sooner

I know. But if Freeman has bulked up that much and we aren't considering him at WR... I bet they try to convince all of the extras who are great athletes to move over.

Jordan Wyatt was recruited as a corner and then moved to safety, but moved back to corner during the spring. Clemons sat out spring drills in a yellow jersey because of injury, but played safety last year before getting hurt. I have heard nothing about a move to cornerback — doesn't mean it won't happen, I guess, but if so, I can't confirm.

Thanks! I always thought of Clemons as a safety, but I thought I read somewhere about him potentially moving to corner.

I think we are going to play the best players even if it means playing some guys outside thier natural position.

Herndon is done. Medical reasons. Tough luck for a good kid.

After reading the roster, I am hopeful that the D-Line shows drastic improvement. We have a lot more size and depth with the transfers, incoming frosh and redshirt frosh that will see time. I think the same could be said for the O-Line, but only game day will tell that.
