Re: Depth chart for UNT gameThanks for the reminder about McCarty, Pride. June was always really high on him as well. Eager to see what happens on Saturday!
Re: Depth chart for UNT gameThis question may show as much ignorance and my remark just above about the punting but what are the chances that the 2nd team offense and defense will both play a few downs as units today?
Re: Depth chart for UNT gamethey are excited about depth at d line. That will rotate the entire season. The frosh corners will not red shirt I expect to see them on special teams from the start and to get a series or two. Same with the backup safeties. I bet u see the entire second string defense play a series or two in the first half. Offensively you are going to see a ton of rotation at wr and rb. Lots of good players and it is worth keeping them fresh. At rb we are 4 deep. I expect to see freeman and try to redshirt Carmouche. Eventually they want to have a second team ol to run in for a couple of series but we just aren't there yet depth wise. I would look for hyder to be the one guy who rotates in at both guard positions and maybe even at center. Depth on the ol is the one thing that will limit the pace of the offense this season. From what I saw at practice there is a significant drop from smith, wilds, and fister to the starters.
Re: Depth chart for UNT gameHeard Smith is not a drop off just needs some PT. I think the redshirt freshmen and true freshmen are doing to do really well this year.

Re: Depth chart for UNT game
Coach really wants to redshirt the offensive line this year. They could use a year in the weight room. I would not be surprised at all if smith starts at one of the tackles next year though. IMHO he already looks better than wilds.
