The Trick Play
Haven't heard anybody discuss it probably because nobody could follow who in the hell had the ball. Although its probably better that's not on video-I'd love the see it

Helter SkelterThe Trick Play
Haven't heard anybody discuss it probably because nobody could follow who in the hell had the ball. Although its probably better that's not on video-I'd love the see it "With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: Helter SkelterI've never seen a trick play like that. It was similar to some I've heard of. But those were from the early days of football. This updated 'trick' was very cool!
Re: Helter SkelterI have seen it run before. do not remember where or when. It was very well executed.

Re: Helter SkelterYes you do...Coach Fry called it the "Bumarooski" (telling us it had first been designed by Bum Phillips), and sprung it on Ohio State in '68. Remember? Bill Dietz hunkered down and then skirted the end for about 30 yards.
Re: Helter SkelterYou are a better man than I. I am trying to remember what I did 30 minutes ago.

Helter Skelter
Tech ran it with Jakeem Grant to beat UT last year. Called it "little people, big world", lol It's at 7:38 in the video https://youtu.be/3-CWlyKZn8s
Re: Helter SkelterFumblerooski
Re: Helter SkelterSimilar to those single wing stuff where it really hard to follow who has the ball.
They tan it perfectly and the coaches ran it at the perfect time. Seems to me trickiest part of running a trick play is when to use it. An atheist is a guy who watches a Notre Dame-SMU football game and
doesn't care who wins. -- Dwight D. Eisenhower
Re: Helter Skelter
Yes! I knew I had seen that play before somewhere. Loved it. Somebody already said it - but without a doubt look for some halfback passes from Kemon sprinkled in. It's gotta be coming. Dallas Mavericks - 2011 NBA CHAMPIONS!
Long live the Circle of Champions!
Re: Helter SkelterIt's an old Double Wing play. The Double Wing is run out of tight splits, but that play tightens the splits down to nothing.
I saw three different teams run the old Single Wing Transcontinental play in week one.
